The Raft Moisés Mahiques takes as a reference the famous work The Medusa's Raft by Théodore Géricault, which portrays the shipwreck of the frigate Meduse. Through this historical image, Mahiques reflects on power, discipline, and submission as elements of social control, applied in the present day. With this work, the artist highlights the socioeconomic drama and tensions we experience, offering a critique that connects the past with the present.
