‘'How High the Moon', designed by Shiro Kuramata for Vitra in 1986, reinterprets the traditional Western armchair through an ethereal structure made entirely of nickel-plated steel mesh. Its familiar silhouette is stripped of any conventional frame or upholstery, leaving only a transparent outline that appears almost weightless.
Through its reflective surface and open construction, the chair creates a subtle tension between fragility and functionality. More than just a seat, it becomes a sculptural object that questions the boundaries between furniture, form, and space.

Pair of contemporary armchairs handcrafted in solid walnut wood, featuring a structure with clean lines and balanced proportions that combine traditional carpentry with a modern and sophisticated design.
The seat and backrest are upholstered in a white bouclé fabric, warm and enveloping to the touch, offering a subtle contrast with the warmth of the walnut and a nod to timeless modern aesthetics. The arms have a gently sloped trapezoidal silhouette, which not only enhances the sculptural character of the pieces but also contributes to a sense of visual lightness and continuity with the wooden base. The slightly reclined backrest has been designed to support a relaxed and ergonomic posture, providing additional comfort without compromising the refined aesthetic of the ensemble. This attention to the angle and shape makes each armchair a comfortable seat for both reading and conversation.
These armchairs have been carefully crafted by artisans, using traditional techniques that ensure durability, comfort, and a sculptural presence—ideal for both residential and contract spaces.
