"Butterfly Painting" by Damien Hirst, 2009

Work in acrylic, framed in a methacrylate case with transparent sides and a wooden background in gold leaf that reveals the artist's signature on the back.

This piece of art was made to celebrate the opening of the PinchukArtCentre in kyiv, Ukraine on April 25-26, 2009. Spin Butterfly shows the spontaneity and overall energy of the artist's creative process. According to Hirst it is a "Huge burst of energy, full of life, color and optimism". The colors used are introduced on the canvas and then subjected to a mechanical rotation movement that extends them, creating a transition of colors, resulting in a unique work of art that becomes pure expression. With this artistic method Hirst imitates Jackson Pollock's action painting.

Amphora Sculpture with Vulva 2 by Papin Lucadamo made in refractary clay.

In his last works Papin Lucadamo analyzes in a conceptual way a synthesis between traditional craftsmanship and motifs reminiscent of the most primitive sculptures such as the venus of Willendorf.

He generates a dialogue between human anthropological tradition and the idea of a sustainable future turned towards nature without artifice.

Today the piece "WINK" (chair) has become a icon of design. In 1981 it wins the Kitaro Kunii Industrial Design Award and it's also selected for the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Sofa designed by Tito Agnoli and produced by Arflex in 1969. Composed of 7 modules reupholstered in boucle, 4 modules with backrest and 3 corner units.He was looking for versatility to adapt to any space and to allow an infinite number of configurations. 

Tito Agnoli was born in Lima, Peru, in 1931, from an Italian family. He was assistant of Gio Ponti and Carlo De Carli. He devoted himself to an intensive study of furniture design. In 1986 he won the gold medal at Neocon in Chicago. Some of his works are in the permanent collection of MoMA in New York.

Gae Aulenti (1927-2012) was one of the few Italian women who rose to fame in architecture and design in the post-war years. Her work includes villas for wealthy families, showrooms for Fiat, shops for Olivetti, pens and watches for Louis Vuitton, and a coffee table on wheels found in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Ms. Aulenti was best known for her work indoors, particularly in museums. She designed museum renovations in Venice, Barcelona, ​​Istanbul, and San Francisco.
