Paolo Piva (1950-2017) was a prominent Italian architect and designer. He studied architecture at the IUAV in Venice and graduated in 1973. Early on, he designed furniture for Adria Fama and later focused on architectural projects, teaching and product design.

His collaboration on an exhibition on social housing in Vienna took him to Vienna, where he taught design since 1988 and lived with his family. Piva stood out for his focus on functionality and innovation in furniture design, leaving a lasting legacy in the design industry.

Mario Botta was born in Mendrisio in 1943 and began his training as a draftsman. Later, he continued his studies in architecture in Venice, where he graduated in 1969. During a training course, he was fortunate to meet influential figures such as Le Corbusier and Louis I. Kahn, encounters that marked a turning point in his approach to architecture. the architecture. In 1970, he founded his own studio in Lugano, Switzerland.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mario Botta has made his mark by designing more than 300 notable buildings, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Santo Volto Church in Turin, and the Cymbalista heritage center in Tel Aviv.

His architectural achievements have earned him numerous international awards, including the 2005 International Academy of Architecture Award, the European Union Award, and the Merit Award for Excellence in Design. Botta is widely recognized as a prominent figure in the fields of architecture and design.

CENTER TABLE "PAVLOVA" DESIGNED BY VON PELT

Coffee table mod Pavlova designed by Von Pelt Atelier.

This coffee table is handmade as a unique piece for our studio. This is composed of epoxy resin, pigments, vintage glass, blown glass. marble powder, fiberglass and ends with a turned brass base. To keep your work in place, it ends with a ten (10) millimeter safety glass cover.

Both the Von Pelt centerpiece and other of his pieces are inspired by nature and resemble the structure of a meteorite that is intended to be reflected in the center of the table.
