Osvaldo Borsani, an Italian designer and entrepreneur, began working in the family furniture manufacturing company at an early age. His talent came to be highlighted when he participated in the V Milan Triennale in 1933, where his project "Minimal House" won the silver medal. After the Second World War and his graduation from the Politecnico, he established friendships with artists such as Lucio Fontana, Agenore Fabbri, Aligi Sassu, Roberto Crippa, Fausto Melotti and Arnaldo Pomodoro, collaborating with them on interior design and architecture projects.

In 1953, together with his brother Fulgencio, he founded Tecno, a company dedicated to mass production as opposed to production based on individual projects. Borsani created notable designs, such as the P40 armchair and the D70 sofa. In 1968, he designed the Graphis office system with Eugenio Gerli, which was distributed internationally, making Tecno a renowned manufacturer.

In the 1960s, Borsani, together with Marco Fantoni and Valeria Borsani, founded the Tecno Project Centre, which focused on developing new products, managing interior architecture projects and experimenting with technologies and corporate communication strategies. He promoted collaboration with external designers and participation in design projects for large communities, consolidating his influence in the design and furniture industry. His legacy lives on in the world of Italian design and furniture making.
